MA3010 - Red Bull Sign with Thick Letters Carved in Flat Relief from HDU and Mounted on a 20 ft Wide Signboard
This photo of a very large (20 ft wide) Red Bull sign shows large individual letters carved in flat relief from High-Density-Urethane (HDU). These letters have flat tops and are 6 to 12 inches thick. These letters were then painted with long-lasting sign enamels and clear-coated. The letters have embedded threaded studs on the back which were inserted into drilled holes in the the sign board. This sign is suitable for either indoor or outdoor use,
We can carve individual or connected letters and numbers in either 2-D relief, or in 2.5-D two-level relief (i.e., where the border of the letter can be raised or depressed), or in 3-D bas-relief (e.g., letter strokes with a prismatic or rounded profile). We carve letters and numbers from High-Density-Urethane (HDU) in any shape , which can be painted, or they can be plated with bronze, brass or aluminum metals, or gilded with gold, silver or copper leaf. Alternatively, they can be carved from several wood species, which can be stained and/or painted, sometimes with a Dibond or aluminum backer for extra strength.
