Shown above is a wall plaque of the US Marine Corps emblem, carved in 3-D bas-relief and then coated with bronze metal. The plaque is then clear-coated twice.
We offer custom raised text/art/borders 3-D bas-relief bronze, aluminum, brass, copper,nickel-silver, and stainless steel wall plaques of the five military service seals (USN, USMC, USAF, USA, and USGC) , which make a handsome set. These wall plaques can be made in a wide range of diameters from 10 inches to 60 inches. These can also be customized and personalized by mounting them on other shapes of wooden plaques (mahogany, cherry, maple, oak, redwood, cedar) with carved or brass plate text. Of course, a logo or emblem of any unit or ship can be added onto this larger plaque. These wall plaques are suitable for both inside and outside locations. They may be purchased separately as well as in a set of 3 or 5 plaques.
The advantages of metal-coating plaques is that they are about 1/3 to 1/4 the price of cast bronze or aluminum , especially for custom or personalized plaques, and are much lighter. They will last decades inside and at least 10 years outside, They cannot be walked on or hit with high impact objects, whereas like cast bronze or aluminum plaques are sturdier and tougher. The metal-coated HDU plaques can be made in diameters from 12 inches to 60 inches. We can coat our carved HDU plaques with bronze, brass, copper, nickel-silver (German silver), stainless steel, and aluminum,.All of these metal coatings can be highly polished and they can have different hand-rubbed painted background colors, in addition to black. Dark (Navy) blue and dark (Forest) green are also good choices. Please see Gallery 7 for more information on our metal-coated plaques.
