This section of Gallery 10, on page 2, shows wall and podium plaques for courtrooms, judges chambers, entrances to courthouses, etc. These are generally round, carved in 3D or 2,5D, and can be painted in full color, or metal-coated (bronze, brass, silver-nickel, or copper), or stained (wood only). Sizes typically range from 20 inches to 60 inches in diameter. These are made of either wood (redwood, cedar, maple, oak, cherry) or high-density-urethane (HDU) (20 lb/ft3). Most of these plaques are mounted inside, where they will last 30 years or more, but they can also be installed outside in severe climates and HDU plaques will last a minimum of 10 years outdoors without significant degradation or maintenance ( wood substrates, must be clear coated every two years when placed outside to prevent deterioration) .
