M4500 - Custom Carved Scroll Bracket Supporting a Hanging Sign Using Struts
This single-faced hanging sign mounted on a wall or post has two overhead struts fastened to the back of sign using steel plates welded to the struts and fastened with screws into the back of the sign. Alternate methods of fastening overhead struts which are suitable for double-faced signs include welding the struts to a perimeter frame around the sign ,or alternatively, embedding the struts into holes drilled into the interior of the sign. Struts, used instead of chains or snap-links, prevent the sign from swinging in the wind which cause damage to the sign or wear on the chain links eventually requiring replacement.
